Why This Tool Was Created
In my effort to reduce my dependence on my iPhone, I recently purchased a Light Phone lll. When setting it up, I wanted to add call forwarding only to learn that it is not just incredibly confusing, but T-Mobile’s own website had inaccurate information.
After spending over an hour with chat, I sorted it out and decided to build a solution. Particularly because a lot of these options are available through your carrier directly, but not supported by the phones operating system. With assistance from generative AI to help develop and refine the code, I built this Call Forwarding Utility.
How the Tool Works
Call forwarding Utility uses a straightforward and accessible form to walk you through the steps of Call Forwarding in order to provide you with the correct number/code to call and configure call forwarding directly with your carrier’s network.
Limitations & Support
We currently support only limited mobile carriers in the US. If you’re with another provider, I recommend contacting them directly for information on call forwarding.
The Call Forwarding Utility strives for accuracy, but the carriers may change these codes leading to issues. If you experience any issues, please reach out through the contact form at the bottom of the page.
Want to add another carrier or extend support of the tool? I am working to open-source the plugin used to design this which will allow anyone to extend support directly.
Help! Something isn’t working right!
Thanks for coming here to let me know! Please contact me below using the form and I will try to get it updated. In the meantime here are the direct resources for each carrier. Good luck.
How is this free?
I set up this project to learn how to build a WordPress plugin with the support of generative AI. This site is also hosted with WordPress.com and I do not need it to make me any money off of it.
So I hope you find this site useful and if you do please share it! That’s the only payment I need!
Thanks for Visiting
